LCR Film Sound
Michael Mader, Tfer Newsome and John Willsteed are the three partners in Brisbane’s newest sound post facility. LCR Film Sound is situated in the leafy end of New Farm on the corner of Merthyr and Moray (a very short stroll to the river and plenty of parking!).
It is fair to say that the principals have a wealth of skills and experience: Michael and Tfer also own the location sound recording business Susurrus and have been doing award-winning location sound and sound post in Brisbane for over 7 years and John has won international and national awards for his sound design (including 3 AFI Awards) and has been working as a sound designer, sound editor and composer in Sydney and Brisbane since 1996.
Both Tfer and John are graduates of AFTRS and John currently lectures in sound design at QUT in the Creative Industries Faculty.
If LCR Film Sound we can record and produce foley and ADR; we can budget and coordinate all manner of deliveries from mobiles to 5.1 Dolby Digital and we can make most things sound great.
